Mini Goals

I'm a list maker and I make lists for just about anything, as there's just under 3 months of the year left, I've decided to set myself a little challenge. 7 relatively easy goals. 15/16 weeks. Lets go!

In terms of goals I've set myself a weight one as I do need to loose weight and a stone is manageable.

Drink more water speaks for itself really, I'm sure most of us are guilty of not drinking enough water everyday, I want to try to combat that :)

Reading 15 books as I dont really read much anymore and it's something I want to get back into doing.

The Boy (and everyone I know) all love brownies, I've been trying to find my 'signature' brownies, I hope to do that soon!

I've had driving lessons on and off for the past two years but life or University would get in the way and I would have to stop learning - however I'm determined to pass my test soon,as I'm in a long distance relationship, I hope passing my test and getting a car will make seeing The Boy a lot easier :)

The last two goals are related to the first goal - to loose weight. Doing both of the last two will no doubt help me loose that one stone and hopefully more!

How I got my ginger hair:)

My hair 3/4 weeks after colouring it

I'm asked quite often how I got my hair ginger, my hairs naturally brown so at first I had no idea how to get the right ginger, I had several failed attempts until I found the correct products!

I found the lovely CustomiseFashion's YouTube video on how she got her hair ginger very useful! I do my hair ginger slightly different though :)

The products I use are as follows;
Bleach Total Bleach Kit - £7.00 from Boots
Superdrug Vibrance Mango Copper Burst 7.4 - £4.49 from Superdrug
Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL Ultra Brights 90 Fiery Copper Semi-Permanent Copper Hair Dye - £5.49 from Boots
Superdrug Colour Effects wash in wash out 6.4 Rich Red - £1.49 from Superdrug

As I've already said  my hairs naturally brown so I use Bleach Total Bleach Kit to lighten my hair a few shades - I leave it on for half the amount of time it says to on the box, just to lighten my hair a couple of shades, I then use the Superdrug Mango burst to give me a nice natural looking ginger, The ultra brights makes my ginger a lot brighter.

The colour effects keeps the colour topped up so I don't have to dye my hair too often.

I hope that helps! Any questions then please feel free to ask :)

Teapigs Chocolate Flake Temples Review

I've recently come across the Tea Pigs brand. As a self confessed tea addict I got really excited after hearing about some of the flavours - with flavours such as chocolate and popcorn what sweet toothed tea addict wouldn't get excited..I mean...popcorn flavoured tea?? OMG *swoons*

So, after containing my excitement, I headed over to Amazon and made the very important decision of which flavour to order first. After much deliberation I decided to order the Chocolate Flake Tea Temples - currently £4.15 on Amazon. Now, I won't  usually spend that much on flavoured Tea, these were a treat to myself after a busy week, But, I think these would be perfect for gifts and the like.

As tea bags go, these tea temples aren't used in any special way, you boil the kettle, pop the tea temple into a mug, add hot water, leave it to brew to taste, remove, add milk and sugar if desired and then enjoy!

After reading quite a few negative reviews I was skeptical over trying these temples, however I really like the flavour of these temples, its similar to hot chocolate but not quite the same. Of course you could just buy hot chocolate, but I don't know..sometimes hot chocolate is just too 'heavy' or 'rich' for my liking, but I still want a hot chocolaty drink and these are a perfect stand in for those moments! The taste of chocolate is nice and mild and doesn't over whelm the taste buds making this a very smooth drink to enjoy.

I really like the packaging, its simple and hints at being environmentally friendly - the box is largely recycled quite easily and the temples themselves are biodegradable, which is always a good thing!

The only complaint I do have is the price..for only 15 tea bags (sorry temples) £4.15 is very expensive and whilst they make a really pleasant cuppa, I don't think the price justifies this! Although to be honest I don't think the price will put me off buying these again, but they wont be a regular buy, but more of a special treat or a gift list request at Christmas and birthdays!

4/5 stars

Mini Shopping Splurge :)

I can't lie, I'm a shopping addict. Nothing makes me happier than a little shopping trip..nah I jest, there's some things that make me happier..but still..who doesn't enjoy a little splurge?

Details of what I bought are below :)

Dreamscope leaver arch folder
£4 from Paperchase
How cute it this woodland design? Cute foxes, rabbits, deer, owls and badgers! I really do love this new range, perfect for autumn or anyone who loves cutesy designs. Plus at £4 it's very affordable! I usually buy my stationary from Paperchase as I love their affordable but cute designs and their products are usually hard wearing when used a lot :)

Dreamscope Document Holder
£2.50 from Paperchase
Part of the same collection as the leaver arch folder. Again really affordable at only £2.50!

Russian Doll Highlighters Pack
£4.00 from Paperchase
I can't seem to find these on the online store, but they are really pretty highlighters that look like Russian dolls! Pretty standards colours.

Red Polka Dot Kindle Cover
£1 from the Poundshop
Really cute kindle cover, and as it was only a £1 a total bargain!

NYC Primer in shade 684 Clear
£2.49 from Superdrug
I'm yet to try this out yet as I still have a bit of my Maybelline Baby Skin primer left, but from the bit I sampled in store it seems to be a really nice primer with a slight shimmer to it that will hopefully brighten my skin up a little.

NYC Lip Crayon -  City Proof Twistable Lip Colour South Ferry Berry
£2.49 from Superdrug
I love red lipsticks, crayons, lip stains etc and always buy new ones, this seems to be a nice dark pink/red, so likely a great addition to my collection. At £2.49 I can't really complain

Black Earrings
£3 from Tiger
This is a new store that's just opened in my city. It reminds me slightly of IKEA in that it sells kitsch things. I found this stylish earrings that I'm sure I'll get lots of wear out of this autumn/winter!

Barry M Gelly M Nail Effects in shade GNP29 Chai
£3.99 from Superdrug
I've already done a review on these nail varnishes :P

Introductions..

I've done this the wrong way round - posted several posts and then introduced myself.
But better late than never eh..?

Well, let's get down to it..

Hi, I'm Danni, I'm from the Midlands in England and I'm in my 20's.

During the day I'm a trainee Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1 - which is a job I love. Eventually I want to be a teacher, but for now I'm enjoying this challenge. It's a bit of a cliche, but working with children is very rewarding! I'm a recent Graduate in History and Politics so I'm hoping to become a History teacher. Naturally I'm a bit of a history buff because of this, my loves are the Tudors and I have two tattoo's that relate to the Tudors!
I have a further 19 tattoos and 16 piercings so its fair to say I love body bods!

I'm a hair dye addict - I must have been every colour under the sun by now - I'm currently sporting ginger tresses, which I love, but usually I'm a bright vivid red! I often wonder how my hair hasn't fallen out as I've put it through so much!

I *love* cosmetics and painting my nails, I'm constantly on the hunt for great products that suit my annoying combination skin.

I'm also a mother to a beautiful daughter who shall be known as Small One on here, I'm also quite happily loved up with who shall be known as The Boy <3.

I love reading but sadly don't read anywhere near as much as I wish I did, I'm an avid music listener and have a diverse interest in different musical genres!

So,,,yeah..that's me...would be cool to know more about you guys..my readers

Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser Mini Review

So, my skin is notoriously bad for black heads and bad pores, particularly  around my nose. I have really oily skin there, so it's a mine field of black heads no matter how regularly I use pore strips! I have combination skin so its both oily and dry! So have struggled to find a face wash that isn't too harsh on my skin.

------------------------------------------------------

After reading a few reviews I decided to take a gamble on Biore's Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser, which is currently £4.99 at Superdrug

This cleanser promises to (according to Biore's website) 'Draws out and traps 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser, purifying pores to leave your face deeply cleaned and your skin tingly-smooth.' Leaving you 'oil free'.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I've been using this for the past 10 days, it says on the bottle to use it twice a day, however in the past I've found using deep cleansing face washes twice a day drys out my skin as its too harsh,  SO, I've been using this face wash once a day for 10 days and it seems to be doing what it promises!

My black heads have all cleared up quite a bit and my pores appear reduced in size! Plus my skin appears less greasy and more 'dewy',softer and generally more clean. I use this mainly at night to give my skin a really good cleanse after wearing make up.

(Just to point out I also use a toner and face moisturizer along side this face wash)

It's easy to use, like with most face washes you wet your face with clean warm water, squirt some in to your hand and work it in to a lather on your skin, this one has a slight warming, tingly effect which is actually quite nice. Then rinse with warm water, and pat your skin dry with a clean face towel.

In the past I've tried so many face washes to try and sort out my skin, so far this one is working perfectly! Which is great as I'm a make up junkie and need a face wash that cleanses my face of all my make up but isn't too harsh on my picky combination skin!

-----------------------------------------------------------

I recommend this face wash to anyone who has combination skin, or black heads and large pores. It's going to be a regular product on my shelf!

I guess you could say I give it 5 out of 5?

Barry M Autumn/Winter 2014 Gelly Collection

So, a while ago I got really excited when I heard that Barry M were releasing a new autumn collection. Autumn is by far my favourite season of the year, woolly jumpers, autumn colours on the trees, lovely sunsets, falling leaves, conkers, warm drinks and not too cold temperatures.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

 The collection features 6 autumn inspired shades;
Mustard - what it says on the tin - a mustard yellow. Right on trend a mustard is currently all over the A/W 2014 catwalks.
Chili - a lovely warm red with brown tones, reminds me of the different shades of leaves on trees in autumn.
Paprika - an orange-y brown. Again reminds me of autumn leaves.
Chai - A medium toned grey. Really nice shade when worn.
Cardamom - a lovely forest-y green, one of my favourite shades from this collection. Greens one of my favourite colours so I'm really glad a nice natural green was included in this collection.
Cocoa - rich dark brown with a red tint. Probably my least favourite due to the darkness of the shade.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below are the 3 that I bought, still planning on picking up mustard but it was sold out, Superdrug currently have a 3 for 2 on Barry M products so go grab a bargain!
